Resilient Remedies: A Two Day Cold Season Herbal Intensive for Sistahs

from 5.00

Resilient Remedies is an in person (Philadelphia), 8 hour course exclusively for Black women, of all levels of experience, who desire practical and hands on knowledge on using herbal remedies as preventative and restorative medicine during the cold, winter months. It is taught and facilitated by Taylor Johnson-Gordon, Plant-Food Educator, Herbalist, and Founder of Sistah of the Yam, LLC.

What makes this course unique?

Intimate Sisterhood - This course is proudly created by a black woman, for black women. SOTY believes that as sistahs, we thrive most when we are in authentic community with other sistahs! Unlike our individual workshops, only 12 spots are available. The intention is that this will create opportunity for more intimacy, questions, and feedback.

African American centered - Herbalism ain't just a white or Chinese thing. Without question, Black healers and herbalists transformed Western Herbalism as we know it today. However, herbalism is the United States remains heavily white washed and exclusive. This course will both celebrate and center the traditional knowledge and wisdom of both enslaved and free African American root workers.

Made for your schedule - We get it; not everyone can take an 8 week herbal course! This course was created for the busy sistah in mind and is doable for your schedule - it is only 2 (half) days with a total of 8 hours of instruction and hands-on medicine making.
