Let's Make Fire Cider!

  • Kendrick Mills Lofts 6139 Germantown Avenue Philadelphia, PA, 19144 United States (map)

What is fire cider? It's a delectable, nourishing, immune-boosting tonic that is easy and fun to make! A lot of folks enjoy making it in the fall and winter but it can be enjoyed all year around (I personally enjoy using it as salad dressing throughout the year).

The main ingredient is apple cider vinegar. Other ingredients are anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal herbs and plants like garlic, onions, ginger, pepper, horseradish, thyme, and more!

At this workshop, we will be talking about practical ways to allow our bodies to rest and heal themselves during the cold/flu season. Each participant will go home with their own jar of fire cider (that they will make during the workshop).

Location is in NW Philly. Cost is $5-10 (sliding scale). Children are desired and FREE with an accompanying adult. Space is limited and is by RSVP only. Black women are prioritized, but others are welcome if there are spots still opened. The space isn't wheelchair accessible (there is 1 flight of stairs), please let me know if you need support. There is a family bathroom as well as a changing table.

RSVP to no later than 10/11.
